Donald Trump has said, a day after Pakistani forces rescued an American-Canadian family from the Haqqani terror group.<\/p>\n
The couple were kidnapped in 2012 in Afghanistan while on a backpacking trip. Their three children were born while the pair was in captivity.<\/p>\n
Trump had slammed Pakistan for its continued support to terrorist groups and warned Islamabad of consequences if it continues to do so while<\/p>\n
announcing his Afghan and South Asia policy in August.<\/p>\n
The President thanked Pakistani leaders for cooperating with the US on many fronts. \u201cStarting to develop a much better relationship with<\/p>\n
Pakistan and its leaders. I want to thank them for their cooperation on many fronts,\u201d Trump said in a tweet yesterday.<\/p>\n
I have openly said Pakistan took tremendous advantage of our country for many years, but we\u2019re starting to have a real relationship with<\/p>\n
Pakistan, and they\u2019re to respect us as a nation again, and so are other nations,\u201d Trump said.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey are starting to respect the United States of America again,\u201d he said and thanked the leaders of Pakistan for \u201cwhat they\u2019ve been doing\u201d.<\/p>\n
He said that \u201cin this administration, we will call evil by its name\u201d.<\/p>\n
