\nThe Congress victory in Gurdaspur byelection is a clear indication that people are fed up with \u2018jumla sarkar\u2019 of the BJP, said media in charge of the party Randeep Singh Surjewala here today.<\/p>\n
He claimed that people wanted change because Narendra Modi government had done nothing except deceiving them in the garb of false promises.<\/p>\n
Surjewala was speaking at a public meeting organised by Deepak Deswal, district president of Congress Kisan Sangh, in Dulhera village.<\/p>\n
He said the time of Modi era of \u2018jumlebaazi\u2019 and Manohar Lal Khattar era of \u2018khokhle vaade\u2019 had ended and people were waiting to show them the door.<\/p>\n
\u201cModi and Khattar have betrayed farmers, labour force, backward classes and the youth by not fulfilling any poll promise. All sections of society wish to see a change,\u201d Surjewala said.<\/p>\n
\u201cPeople are looking up to the Congress and Rahul Gandhi for giving them full support in the next Lok Sabha and Assembly elections,\u201d he claimed.<\/p>\n
Terming denotification of the Dadupur-Nalvi canal project as a conspiracy against farmers, Surjewala said surplus Yamuna water was planned to be used through the canal.<\/p>\n
