{"id":80930,"date":"2020-02-29T10:54:44","date_gmt":"2020-02-29T10:54:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blastingskyhawk.com\/?p=80930"},"modified":"2020-02-29T10:54:45","modified_gmt":"2020-02-29T10:54:45","slug":"england-bowler-mark-wood-ruled-out-of-sri-lanka-tour","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blastingskyhawk.com\/english\/england-bowler-mark-wood-ruled-out-of-sri-lanka-tour\/","title":{"rendered":"England bowler Mark Wood ruled out of Sri Lanka tour"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Durham fast bowler Mark Wood has been ruled out of England\u2019s tour of Sri Lanka with a left side strain and has been replaced in the squad by Lancashire seamer Saqib Mahmood.Wood sustained the injury at the end of the tour to South Africa earlier this month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A statement from the England and Wales Cricket Board on Friday said scans had revealed the 30-year-old sustained \u201ca small tear to his left side\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Wood will now \u201ccommence an injury rehabilitation programme, working with England and Durham medical teams\u201d, the ECB statement added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>England are set to travel to Sri Lanka on Monday.
