{"id":84864,"date":"2020-12-01T10:20:39","date_gmt":"2020-12-01T10:20:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blastingskyhawk.com\/?p=84864"},"modified":"2020-12-01T10:20:40","modified_gmt":"2020-12-01T10:20:40","slug":"four-olympic-quota-winning-boxers-inducted-in-tops","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blastingskyhawk.com\/english\/four-olympic-quota-winning-boxers-inducted-in-tops\/","title":{"rendered":"Four Olympic quota winning boxers inducted in TOPS"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Simranjit Kaur, 2018 World Championship bronze medalist was among four boxers who were included in the Target Olympic Podium Scheme (TOPS) at the 50th Mission Olympic Cell meeting held on November 26th.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Also included along with Simranjit (60 kg) were Ashish Kumar (men\u2019s 75 kg), Satish Kumar (men\u2019s 91+ kg) and Pooja Rani (women\u2019s 75 kg). All four boxers won Olympic quotas at the Asian Boxing Qualifiers held in March 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2012 Olympic bronze medalist and 6-time world champion MC Marykom who participates in women\u2019s 51 kg was among 6 boxers retained in TOPS after a performance review.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The other boxers retained in the scheme include Kavinder Singh Bisht, Amit Panghal, Manish Kaushik, Vikas Krishan and Lovlina Borgohain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nikhat Zareen (women\u2019s 51 kg) and Sonia Chahal (women\u2019s 57 kg) and Shiva Thapa ( Men\u2019s 63 Kg) were moved to the TOPS Developmental group from the Core Group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Zareen participates in the same weight category as MC Marykom who has won the Olympic quota while Thapa participates in the same weight category as Manish Kaushik who has also earned a quota.<\/p>\n<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Simranjit Kaur, 2018 World Championship bronze medalist was among four boxers who were included in the Target Olympic Podium Scheme (TOPS) at the 50th Mission Olympic Cell meeting held on November 26th.
