The Directorate of Students\u2019 Welfare, PAU, had organized the exposure visit. The event was inaugurated by Prime Minister, Sh Narendra Modi on November 3. Mrs Harsimrat Kaur Badal, Minister of Food Processing, Government of India, also graced the occasion. Dr Poonam A. Sachdev, Head, Food Science and Technology; Dr Anita Kochhar, Head, Foods and Nutrition, and three other scientists from different departments of PAU participated in the conference.<\/p>\n<p>Faculty and students attended different interactive technical sessions of conference related to status, potential, trends and scenario of food processing in India and foreign countries like Japan and Italy, which emphasized on increasing area under organic production and consumption of food. They also witnessed latest food processing and digital technologies of India showcased during the three-day mega event. Renowned speakers from different fields showed their interest and shared their ideas regarding various opportunities that could be explored by entrepreneurs. In addition, various entrepreneurs presented their business plans to broaden their enterprises.
