The Government agencies and private millers have procured 15037085 metric tonnes of Paddy in Punjab till November 13.

Disclosing this here today, an official spokesman of the Government of Punjab informed that out of the total procurement from various procurement centres in the State, the Government agencies procured 14944231 MT of paddy while 92854 MT has been procured by the millers.

Giving the details, the spokesman said that PUNGRAIN has procured 5213499 tonnes, MARKFED 3438989 tonnes and PUNSUP procured 3103932 tonnes while Punjab State Warehousing Corporation and Punjab Agro Foodgrains Corporation procured 1408622 and 1553977 MT paddy respectively. The Centre government agency FCI has procured 225212 MT paddy.
