Mohali Municipal Corporation Mayor Amarjit Singh Jiti Sidhu held election meetings in favor of Constituency MLA and former Health Minister Balbir Singh Sidhu, who is the Congress Party candidate from Mohali constituency, in various villages and urban areas of Jujhar Nagar, Chapparchiri Khurd, Phase 4, Phase 1 Mohali. On this occasion the Muslim community in Jujhar Nagar gathered in large numbers and declared their full support to Balbir Singh Sidhu.
Speaking in various election meetings on the occasion, Mayor Amarjit Singh Jiti Sidhu said that Balbir Singh Sidhu has been continuously representing this area as MLA for the last 15 years and he has left no stone unturned in the development of this entire constituency and Mohali city. He said that even today works worth crores of rupees were being carried out in the city due to the untiring efforts of Balbir Singh Sidhu and no discrimination was being made in these works. He appealed to the people to send Balbir Singh Sidhu back to the Vidhan Sabha with an overwhelming majority in view of the manner in which Balbir Singh Sidhu has served the area.
Those present on the occasion said that they have thoroughly examined and tested Balbir Singh Sidhu and Balbir Singh Sidhu who always meet their criteria. People said that they trust Balbir Singh Sidhu more than anything and will not get caught up in any experiment and will not vote for any other candidate.
Leaders of the Muslim community in Jujhar Nagar on the occasion said that only Balbir Singh Sidhu MLA and former health minister has held their arm and stood by them in the time of need as a family member. They said that now it was their turn to contest the election of Balbir Singh Sidhu themselves and their only goal was to elect Balbir Singh Sidhu by a record margin.
A large number of dignitaries from different blocks including Gurpreet Singh Dhindsa Sarpanch, Jujhar Nagar, Raju Sarpanch, Saleem Khan, Mohammad Antjar alias Babu, Happy Malik, Somin Khan, Moni Panch, Altaf were present on the occasion.

Congress candidate from Mohali constituency Balbir Singh Sidhu, MLA and former Health Minister today campaigned by visiting shops in Mohali Phase 1 and 2 markets. Deputy Mayor Kuljit Singh Bedi, Rajinder Singh Rana former Council President, Davinder Walia MC, Sham Bansal former MC were specially present on the occasion.
The shopkeepers welcomed Balbir Singh Sidhu with great warmth and flowers and said that Balbir Singh Sidhu has been serving the area for many years now and when it was their turn, they would elect Balbir Singh Sidhu by an absolute majority in the assembly.
The shopkeepers said that whenever the shopkeepers of Mohali faced any problem, Balbir Singh Sidhu was always standing by them and got the problems resolved. They said that this was the reason why they considered Balbir Singh Sidhu as their family member and there was no other candidate like Balbir Singh Sidhu nor did Mohali need any new leader.
On this occasion Mr. Balbir Singh Sidhu thanked all the shopkeepers from the bottom of his heart and said that the entire Mohali constituency is his family and he has also served the people of his constituency day and night with all his heart. He said that he had never allowed any discrimination in the development works and an example of this was the ongoing development works worth crores of rupees in every nook and corner of Mohali. He again appealed to the people to vote for the Congress party on February 20 so that a stable and development oriented government could be brought back in Punjab.
