In support of Shiromani Akali Dal and Bahujan Samaj Party candidate from Mohali constituency Parminder Singh Sohana, election rallies were held in Sector 57 and Phase 4. Apart from this Parvinder Singh Sohana paid obeisance at Sri Lakshmi Narayan Mandir of Phase 11 and was honored by the managing committee with Siropa and assurance of full cooperation.
In Sector 57, Mohali, under the leadership of Harpal Singh Brar Circle President Akali Dal, Parvinder Singh Sohana was weighed against laddoos. On this occasion the people of the area raised their hands and declared their support for Parvinder Singh Sohana and promised to elect him with maximum votes.

In Phase 4 an election meeting was held under the chairmanship of District President of Mahila Akali Dal Kuldeep Kaur Kang. The meeting was also attended by a large number of women from the area and all the residents present assured Parvinder Singh Sohana of a landslide victory. Speaking on the occasion Kuldeep Kaur Kang said that people of Mohali city were angry with the Congress party and in any case SAD-BSP government would come in Punjab and Parvinder Singh Sohana would be elected to the assembly by a landslide.

Speaking in these meetings Shiromani Akali Dal and Bahujan Samaj Party candidate Parvinder Singh Sohana said that the people of Mohali were well aware that the development of the city was only done by the Akali Dal and during the tenure of their government, Rs. 2500 crore were spent on the development of Mohali. He said that Mohali International Airport Mohali was brought by Akali Dal. He said that during the tenure of Akali Dal government huge investments were made all over Punjab which also created many employment opportunities. He said that the infrastructure of Mohali was strengthened at the time of Akali Dal government and the main road passing through Phase 4 which was called Shopping Street and which remained jammed due to increasing traffic most of the times, was divided into two roads by the Akali Dal government. This benefited the people of the area immensely. He said that the subsequent Congress government has destroyed Mohali and hence the people of the area have made up their mind to form the government of Akali Dal and Bahujan Samaj Party.
