Congress candidate from Mohali constituency Balbir Singh Sidhu, MLA and former Health Minister today campaigned by visiting shops in Mohali Phase 1 and 2 markets. Deputy Mayor Kuljit Singh Bedi, Rajinder Singh Rana former Council President, Davinder Walia MC, Sham Bansal former MC were specially present on the occasion.
The shopkeepers welcomed Balbir Singh Sidhu with great warmth and flowers and said that Balbir Singh Sidhu has been serving the area for many years now and when it was their turn, they would elect Balbir Singh Sidhu by an absolute majority in the assembly.
The shopkeepers said that whenever the shopkeepers of Mohali faced any problem, Balbir Singh Sidhu was always standing by them and got the problems resolved. They said that this was the reason why they considered Balbir Singh Sidhu as their family member and there was no other candidate like Balbir Singh Sidhu nor did Mohali need any new leader.
On this occasion Mr. Balbir Singh Sidhu thanked all the shopkeepers from the bottom of his heart and said that the entire Mohali constituency is his family and he has also served the people of his constituency day and night with all his heart. He said that he had never allowed any discrimination in the development works and an example of this was the ongoing development works worth crores of rupees in every nook and corner of Mohali. He again appealed to the people to vote for the Congress party on February 20 so that a stable and development oriented government could be brought back in Punjab.
