The Government agencies and private millers have procured total 16578162 tonnes of Paddy in Punjab till today evening which included 93060 tonnes procured on 12TH November.

Disclosing this here today, an official Spokesman of Punjab Government said that out of total procurement of 16578162 tonnes of paddy in all the procurement centers of Punjab, the Government agencies procured 16324534 tonnes of paddy (98.5%) till date whereas 253628 tonnes (1.5%) of paddy has been procured by millers.

Giving the details of paddy procured by Government agencies, Spokesman said that PUNGRAIN had procured 5489750 tonnes (33.1%), MARKFED procured 3630576 tonnes (21.9 %). PUNSUP procured 3543326 tonnes (21.4%), PSWC procured 1651735 tonnes (10.0%) and PAFC was able to procure 1651551 tonnes (10.0%) of paddy. The Central Government agency FCI had been able to procure 357596 tonnes (2.2%).
