A team of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), Jammu, today arrested two drug peddlers of Kashmir and recovered 35 kg of cannabis from their possession.

The accused have been identified as Sameer Khan and Faizan Rafiq, both from Anantnag district of south Kashmir.

As per the information, the NCB team stopped a Honda city car on the national highway near Parmandal Morh in Jammu and recovered the consignment of drugs.

During the search operation, 35 packets of cannabis were found concealed in the cavity made beneath the rear seat of the car.

As per the investigation, the consignment was to be delivered to a contact in Maharashtra. Of the 36 packets, 15 packets were marked Zakir Traders and were wrapped in a brown cello tape and other 15 packets were marked as MD. Six others were wrapped in white, red and yellow cello tapes.
