The Film and Television Institute of India, FTII Pune has reached to international students. In a first-ever initiative by the Government of India 20 actors from

Nepal will join 3 weeks course at the prestigious film institute from Monday.

The specially designed course is the first of its kind in FTII for participants from abroad. The actors have been selected from various parts of Nepal among 80

applicants.

Indian Ambassador to Nepal Manjeev Singh Puri interacted with the participants at Kathmandu before their departure to India.

The participants expressed happiness on their selection and said that they are very exited to have training at the leading film institute of India.

Ambassador Puri said that training will be one of the important pillar to further strengthen India-Nepal ties.

He said that it will not only connect the artists of both the countries but will also bring India-Nepal film and television industry more closer.

During the training Nepali actors will also get an opportunity to interact with the leading Bollywood celebrities and observe the working of Mumbai’s TV and Film

industry from close.
