31 off for wedding killed in Gujarat

Thirty-one members of a wedding party, including two children, were killed and an equal number injured when the truck they were travelling in fell off a bridge into a 20-foot-deep dry water channel near Ranghola village in Saurashtra on Tuesday.
On the Rajkot-Bhavnagar highway, the driver lost control of the vehicle that fell off the bridge, killing 31 passengers, including the parents of the groom. About 60 persons were travelling by the truck. Twenty-two of those killed belonged to Aniyali village. Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani announced an ex gratia of Rs 4 lakh each to next of kin of those killed.
