The Government agencies and private millers have procured 3486102 metric tonnes of Paddy in Punjab till October 20.

Disclosing this here today, an official spokesman of the Government of Punjab informed that out of the total procurement from various procurement centres in the State, the Government agencies procured 3441230 MT of paddy while 44872 MT has been procured by the millers.

Giving the details, the spokesman said that PUNGRAIN had procured 1127884 tonnes, MARKFED 829041 tonnes and PUNSUP procured 705969 tonnes while Punjab State Warehousing Corporation and Punjab Agro Foodgrains Corporation procured 345310 and 367609 MT paddy respectively. The Centre government agency FCI has procured 65417 MT paddy.
