The government agencies and private millers have procured 41443 metric tonnes of paddy from various mandis across the State till October 5.

Disclosing this, an official spokesman of the Government of Punjab informed that out of the total procurement, the government agencies procured 24452 MT of paddy while 16991 MT has been procured by the millers.

He said that PUNGRAIN has purchased 11414 metric tonnes, MARKFED 6150 tonnes and PUNSUP 5427 tonnes while Punjab State Warehousing Corporation purchased 1461 MT paddy.
