Updating the procurement status of Kharif Marketing Season(KMS) 2019-20, the official spokesman of government of Punjab informed that the government agencies and private millers have procured 5.14 lakh metric tonnes of paddy from various mandis across the State till October 10.

Out of the total procurement, the government agencies procured 483364 MT of paddy while 31413 MT has been procured by the millers, said he and added that PUNGRAIN has purchased 196115 metric tonnes, MARKFED 132026 tonnes and PUNSUP 78220 tonnes while Punjab State Warehousing Corporation purchased 66603 MT paddy and FCI 10400 MT.
