Interacts with common people to take stock of ground realities

Mr Karnail Singh of village Isherwal, who had got to Office of Sub Registrar in Adampur, was today surprised after he was received by a battery of senior officers led by Additional Chief Secretary cum Financial Commissioner Revenue Mrs Vinnie Mahajan, who was here to oversee the functioning of online registration of land launched a few days back.

Accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Jalandhar Mr Varinder Kumar Sharma, Mrs Vinnie Mahajan, who was here today to check the functioning of this newly launched system, minutely enquired the entire procedure of online registration of land from the resident, who had came in the office. She along with Karnail Singh visited the place where Vaseeka Navis writes the deed. Mrs Mahajan asked the person to explain the entire process about deed writing.

After asking about the fees charged from Kashmir Singh, the Additional Chief Secretary asked the Vaseeka Navees to ensure that the rate list was put on prominent place to ensure that people were not charged more. Later on Mrs Mahajan took the applicant to office of Sub Registrar and asked him to explain how he had got appointment for registration. She also asked Karnail Singh to show the message received by him for appointment.

Mrs Mahajan then monitored the entire registration of land done at the office of Sub Registrar. She later on went in the local patwarkhana and enquired about its functioning from the people. The Additional Chief Secretary also interacted with the Patwaris about the functioning of their office and difficulty if any faced by them.

Mrs Mahajan and Deputy Commissioner later on planted saplings in the premises of the office.
