It is comprehensibly incredible , unbelievable and amazing to watch the activities of the students of Govt, Primary School, Jhangerian in Nurpur Bedi Block of Ropar district. The dedicated and unique efforts of the teachers and students of this school situated in the remote Kandi area of the state have virtually been emerging as a beacon for the school teachers to translate the ” Parho Punjab, Parhayo Punjab”, dream project of the Education Secretary, Krishan Kumar, launched to bring in qualitative improvement in education. It seems unbelievable but true that the students of the school have remarkable general knowledge. They speak loudly the names of the districts, parliamentary and assembly constituencies of Punjab, Punjabi Writers, Indian English writers, Indian Scientists, Indian Festivals, National Days, neighbour countries, names of Prime Ministers, Presidents and capitals of as many as 50 different countries, Names of districts, sub divisions and sub tehsils of Punjab fluently, eloquently coupled with unmatched confidence on the stage. Besides, the students also stage one act plays in English and Punjabi. The school has 50 odd students on its roll and almost all the students are quite smart and active to participate in different activities. The students have remarkably been honed by the dedicated teachers Amarjit Singh, Seema Rani and Gurvinder Kaur. The names of outstanding students include Jyoti , Shelly, Manpreet and Harshdeep.

With a view to make the society aware about the incredible features of the School, the District Education Officer ( Elementary), Ropar, Dinesh Kumar mobilised the school teachers to prepare video of all the activities for uploading it on Social Media. A function was organised to release the video for uploading on Social Media. The parents, prominent personalities, philanthropists of the area, dedicated educationists graced the occasion.

School Head Teacher, Seema Rani and Teacher Amarjit Singh, while making the guests aware about the school activities said that the school teachers and students had been striving hard to bring in the qualitative improvement in the school education. ” The residents of the area have been extending their while heart support to equip the school with all the facilities. The school teachers have been making relentless dedicated efforts to change the public perception of the government schools and teachers”, said Amarjit Singh while assuring the parents and prominent citizens that the school teachers would continue their efforts to shape the future of their wards in a better way. He urged them to mobilise people to admit their wards in Jhangerian school.

District Education Officer( Elementary), Dinesh Kumar, while lauding the amazing dedication of the teachers and the students, exhorted them to continue their unmatched dedication not to achieve any award but to make the best better for ever. ” The people salute the dedication and there would be no dearth of financial, moral support as well as honour for such teachers”, said the DEO while quoting some Urdu couplets to shower praise on the unique achievements of the teachers of the teachers of Jhangeria primary school.
