Bathinda: 16 August, 2017: Bringing laurels to the country, Ace shooter & Punjab Police star Avneet Kaur Sidhu wins four medals in 2017 World Police and Fire Games Los Angeles (USA). She wins Gold medal, Silver medal and two Bronze medals in different events of Rifle Shooting competitions. Avneet Sidhu is DSP in Punjab Police. She is married to former Indian Hockey team Captain & Arjuna Awardee Rajpal Singh, who is also DSP in Punjab Police.

Earlier, Avneet Sidhu has won one gold and one silver medal in the 18th Commonwealth Games 2006 held at Melbourne (Australia). In August 2006, she won an Olympic quota for India in 49th World Shooting Championship held at Zagreb (Croatia). In December 2006, she won a bronze medal in the 15th Asian Games held at Doha (Qatar). She took part in 28 international competitions and (12 world cups) held in different countries. She had one won more than 100 medals in different competitions.
