PM Modi inaugurates 2-day Investors’ Summit in Lucknow
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday inaugurated the ‘UP Investors summit’, the two-day mega event being organised by the Yogi Adityanath
government in Lucknow.
The event aims at attracting investment in Uttar Pradesh and making it an ideal destination for investment. Around 5000 delegates from across India and the
world and around 18 Union ministers are taking part in the summit. Mauritius, Japan, Netherlands, Finland, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Thailand are partner
countries in the initiative. President Ram Nath Kovind will be addressing the closing session of the Summit on Thursday.
Addressing the gathering Prime Minister said that Uttar Pradesh had entered into a new phase of positive growth under Adityanath Yogi government. The Prime
Minister highlighted the vibrancy and eye to detail of the Industrial policy introduced by the BJP government in the state.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi hailed UP as a state where each district is home to an industry. He said that the Skill India mission will act as a back up to the state
government’s effort to nurture this unique quality.
Giving Uttar Pradesh a special gift, Prime Minister announced that out of the two Defence Industrial corridors announced in this year’s Union budget, one will be
constructed in Uttar Pradesh which will contribute in the development of the Bundelkhand region.
