In a continued standoff with AAP Government over the alleged assault of Delhi Chief Secretary Anshu Prakash at Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s residence as IAS Joint Forum on Monday sought a written apology from the Delhi Chief Minister as a prerequisite to any talks with the state government.

IAS Joint Forum spokesperson Pooja Joshi said,” the Forum demands a written apology from both the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia.

The Joint Forum of Delhi Government Employees demands that the prerequisite to any dialogue with the political executive is a specific written and public apology from the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister regarding the criminal act of physical assault on the Chief Secretary at midnight in the intervening night of 19 & 20 February, 2018 at Chief Minister’s residence by MLAs in the presence of the CM and Dy CM. ”

The Joint Forum of Delhi Government Employees, which includes various employee Associations of the Delhi Government, met has met on Monday to discuss the oral communication from Delhi minister. Rajendra Pal Gautam to come forward for a dialogue with the Forum.

In a resolution passed after the meeting, the Forum said, ” the Joint Forum notes that, instead of apologising and admitting their mistake of assault on the Chief Secretary at midnight, Hon’ble CM and Dy CM are in denial mode. This shows that they were a part of the conspiracy and since they are specifically identified in the FIR we appeal to Hon’ble LG and the Commissioner of Police to take action as per law against CM & Dy CM.” Pointing out that more incidents of public representatives misbehaving with and threatening Government servants had occurred after the said incident and that the CM had made no statement condemning the same.
