Anganwari workers and helpers today sought alms in various markets here in order to express their resentment against the state government for not accepting their long-pending demands.
The protesters said that the government had put them in such a situation that they had now no option but to beg for alms for two square meals. “Our agitation will continue until the demands are met,” said a protester.
