Home Minister calls upon Police Forces of various countries to defeat cyber crime
Home Minister said that serious crimes take place because the police and citizens do not work together to prevent decay of social norms and social disorder.
Home Minister Rajnath Singh has called upon the Police Forces and Security Agencies of various countries to collaborate and defeat the threats posed by cyber crimes.
Inaugurating. the two-day Asia-Pacific Regional Conference of the International Association of Chiefs of Police in New Delhi, the home minister said social media poses a serious challenge to law enforcement agencies, and the areas of concern include terrorism, financial frauds and victimisation of women and children.
He further said that serious crimes take place because the police and citizens do not work together to prevent decay of social norms and social disorder. He added that community policing faces a huge trust deficit.and the level of trust is particularly very low amongst socially weaker sections, the poor, minorities, women, elderly and children.
In another event, the Home Minister said that Pakistan sponsored terror groups are a challenge and that they are being dealt effectively. He also counted the dangers of providing safe havens and sponsorships to terrorists, particularly Pakistan.
