The Union Government’s special representative Dineshwar Sharma, is on a visit to Kashmir again. He met Governor NN Vohra here on Monday and is scheduled to meet civil and police officials.
“Sharma and the Governor held discussions on issues related to the restoration of trust of the youth and peace in the state,” read a statement issued by Raj Bhawan. Sharma also met Governor’s Adviser K Vijay Kumar and Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, Baseer Khan. His visit is unlikely to draw the separatists to the table in Kashmir and his meetings will confine to government functionaries, official sources said. Sharma started his three-day visit on Monday and will return to New Delhi on Wednesday. “He won’t meet any politician or social activist during the visit,” said a source.
