President Ram Nath Kovind inaugurated the 6th “International Buddhist Conclave- 2018” in New Delhi.

The function has been organised by Ministry of Tourism in association with the State Governments of Maharashtra, Bihar & Uttar Pradesh.

While speaking on the occasion, President said Buddhism was the basis for an early form of globalization.

The President said that tourism is a multi-stakeholder enterprise. The President said that in its essence, tourism, like Buddhism, is about people and empowering them to realise their potential.
