Ever since Karan Johar announced his next directorial venture Takht, not just the fans but the stellar starcast is also excited for the movie to hit the floors soon. Along with big names like Ranveer, Alia and Kareena, Janhvi Kapoor, who made her big Bollywood debut under Dharma Productions’ Dhadak opposite Ishaan Khatter, will also be a part of the movie. The actress expressed her excitement about working his Bollywood hitmaker Karan Johar and said that the director has truckloads of knowledge.

While talking to Mid Day, she expressed her joy of being a part of Karan’s directorial. She said, “It’s overwhelming. I still pinch myself to believe this. I am so excited and happy to start the shoot and work on that film. But, I am constantly thinking about it, and sharing the screen space with these actors, they are so gifted. And I have looked up to them.”

Other than Janhvi, Takht has an ensemble cast of Kareena Kapoor Khan, Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Anil Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal and Bhumi Pednekar. In the film, Janhvi will be seen romancing Ranveer Singh who will be playing the idealistic Dara Shukoh. Janhvi will be Nadira Banu Begum who was a Mughal princess. The role may not be a large one as Nadira died before her husband, Dara was executed.
