CM 120 pathways in Radaur to be metalled

Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Sunday announced that 54 new development works involving an investment of Rs 60 crore would be undertaken in the Radaur segment of Yamunanagar district.
Before addressing a rally in Damla village of the Radaur area, he laid the foundation stone of a bridge involving an investment of Rs 104 crore.
The bridge would be constructed on the Yamuna in Sandhala village and would connect Haryana to Uttar Pradesh. He said that it would be the third bridge in the district and eighth in the state on the Yamuna.
“Our government has undertaken development works worth Rs 1,500 crore in the district in the past four years,” Khattar said.
He announced that 120 kutcha pathways connecting farmers’ agricultural fields to their villages would be metalled at a cost of Rs 10 crore.
“The works includes one Ambedkar bhawan each in 15 villages, building of a mini-secretariat in Radaur and widening of the Radaur-Jathlana road from 5 metres to 7 metres,” he said.
In a major relief to residents of Yamunanagar district, he announced that the toll plaza in Damla village on the Yamunanagar-Kurukshetra road would be abolished from November 1. He announced that keeping in view the increase in traffic, the stretch from Damla to Radaur would be made a four-laned road.
“A total of 68 colonies in Yamunanagar and Jagadhri have been regularised. The government will provide Rs 60 crore for development works in these colonies,” said the Chief Minister.
He assured Radaur MLA Shyam Singh Rana that all demands concerning development works of the municipal committee would be met.
“Our government made licensing free for the plywood industry in the district with an aim to promoting industry and generating employment,” Khattar said.
“We have opened 22 girls’ colleges in the state and seven more will be opened so that girl students can get higher education within 20 km from home,” he said.
He said the district would get electricity supply round the clock after two months under the ‘Mhara Gaon, Jagmag Gaon’ scheme.
