The Government agencies and private millers have procured 14661955 metric tonnes of Paddy in Punjab till November 12. Disclosing this here today, an official spokesman of the Government of Punjab informed that out of the total procurement from various procurement centres in the State, the Government agencies procured 14572206 MT of paddy while 89749 MT has been procured by the millers.

Giving the details, the spokesman said that PUNGRAIN has procured 5067254 tonnes, MARKFED 3361549 tonnes and PUNSUP procured 3029256 tonnes while Punjab State Warehousing Corporation and Punjab Agro Foodgrains Corporation procured 1377546 and 1512631 MT paddy respectively. The Centre government agency FCI has procured 223970 MT paddy.
