Security beefed up at Nirankari centre

After the grenade attack in Amritsar, security has been beefed up at the Nirankari Adhyatmik Centre on the NH 44 in Samalkha as the 71th Nirankari Sant Samagam is scheduled from November 24 to 26.
Police officers from Samalkha visited the centre to review security arrangements. Besides, teams of the RPF and the intelligence wing also visited the centre.
Hundreds of followers of the Nirankari Mission have already reached the centre. Meanwhile, sewadars have been asked to check every vehicle and frisk people.
Satish Vats, DSP, Headquarters, said the security had been beefed up at the centre after the Amritsar incident.
