Finance Minister Arun Jaitley termed Das, as a person with “right credentials” for the RBI top job.

Speaking on appointment of Shaktikanta Das as the new RBI Governor, NITI Aayog CEO Amitabh Kant has said that Shaktikanta Das’s experience will add immense value to RBI as far as its independence and autonomy is concerned.
