Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurates the state of the art Control and Command Centre for the Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj while reviewing preparations for the Mela; Performs Ganga pooja at Sangam Ghat; dedicates and lays foundation stones several developmental projects worth over 4000 crore rupees in Pragayraj, also inaugurates a new airport terminal at Bamrauli.

Prime Minister Narendara Modi inaugurated or laid the foundation stone of various develppment projects in Prayagraj in Uttar Pradesh. The seven projects worth 355.90 crores related to Uttar Pradesh State Bridge Corporation, six projects worth 21.41 crores for construction of Ghats under Namami Gange program; two more projects related to Namami Gange program; 111 projects related to Public Works Department; 16 proejects related to Railways and 157 other projects for development in the Uttar Pradesh.

Speaking on the occasion, Prime Minister highlighted the key initiatives taken by the governnment for clean Gange. Prime MInister said that, 50 ghats out of 150 ghats so far have been renovated under Namami Gange program. Prime MInsiter also said that govt has sanctioned more than Rs 24,000 crore for Ganga cleaning under Namami Gange programme.

Prime Minister also said that state govt and centrral govt are working together to make the Kumbh a successful event.

Prime MInsiter also said that, whichever country he visited during last one and half year, he invited people to visit Prayagraj for Kumbh, so that world can see the real beauty of India.

Attacking Congress, Prime Minster said that one can expect no good from Congress. Prime Minister said that Congress has always regarded itself above law and above any democratic institution.

On the occasion, Prime MIniter also released coffee table book ‘ Making of Kumbh’
