A Haryanavi singer and actor, Anamika Bawa, aka Ani B, attempted suicide by consuming some poisonous substance at her house in Navdeep Colony here on Saturday. She was taken to the Civil Hospital.

Sources said the singer had strained relations with her husband Shekhar Khanna of Rohtak, to whom she married in 2013. They have a five-year-old son. Anamika had been living with her parents in Hisar for two years.The sources said she had an argument with a woman over the phone after which she attempted suicide.
