It was Prime Minister Modi’s second public meeting in Rajasthan within four days. He had visited Tonk on February 23.

“I
want to assure the people of India that the country is in safe hands. I
will not let the country suffer. I will protect the honour of the
country, I will not let the country bow down,” Modi said at a public

This is the first statement from PM
Modi after India carried out an air strike deep inside Pakistan. The
strike was in retaliation to the killing of 40 personnel of the Central
Reserve Police Force (CRPF) in an attack by a suicide bomber in Pulwama
in Jammu and Kashmir.
