The Election Commission of India team led by Chief  Election Commissioner Sunil Arora held meetings with representatives of  various political parties in Jammu on Tuesday morning.

The representatives of seven national and  three state level political parties including BJP, Congress, BSP, CPI, CPI (M), LJP, NCP, PDP, NC & JKNPP met the CEC team.

Almost all the political parties advocated  early  Assembly elections which may be conducted simltananeously with General Elections in the state.

The Election Commission team is on a 2 day visit to J&K.
