PM Modi addresses poll rallies in Bihar & Assam
While polling was on for the first phase, campaigning for the remaining 6 phases was on with full force. Prime Minister Narendra Modi led the NDA’s charge in Bihar and Assam holding 3 rallies where he kept up his assault against the Opposition saying a Tughlak Road election scam has emerged for the Congress.
Even as people voted in the first phase of Lok Sabha polls, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed three rallies, one in Bihar and two in Assam ahead of polling there in subsequent phasesPM’s first stop on the campaign trail was Bhagalpur in Bihar where he recounted the achievements of his govt and trained his guns at the opposition.
His next stop was Kendukona in Assam where he lashed
out the Congress. Accusing its leaders of indulging in corruption while
pointing to what he called ‘the Tughlaq Road electoral scam’.He took a
swipe at the Gandhi family over corruption allegations against it.
He
promised that a BJP govt at the Centre would protect the interests of
people of the northeast and stop illegal infiltration.His last campaign
stop was Silchar in Assam, where he claimed that phase 1 was swept by a
pro-NDA wave.
He expressed BJP’s commitment to bring the Citizenship Amendment Bill in Parliament after holding consultations with all sections of society.He assured that interests of the people of Assam would be safeguarded.
