Chief Minister, Punjab assured for the early release of the payment

A delegation of Joint Action Committee (JAC) today met Chief Minister of Punjab, Captain Amarinder Singh under the leadership of Chairman, JAC, Sh. Ashwani Sekhri at Chandigarh.

Dr. Anshu Kataria, Spokesman, JAC while giving information to media said that Ashwani Sekhri during the brief meeting highlighted CM regarding the delay in disbursement of Post Matric Scholarship (PMS) & apprised that Punjab Unaided Colleges are finding it tough to admit SC students from session 2019-20 because the Scholarship amount for last 3 years is pending towards the Centre & State Govt.

After giving a patient hearing to Sekhri, CM immediately instructed the concerned officials to clear the bills within a week which have been submitted by Social Welfare Dept in Treasury.
