The Punjab State Schedule Castes Commission has ordered to initiate action against three persons for getting SC certificate, even though they themselves do not belong to SC category. Disclosing this in a press communiqué Ms. Tejinder Kaur , Chairperson of Punjab State Schedule Castes Commission said that Balvir Singh of village Alampur from Tehsil district Patiala had complained that Sahib Singh, Bhajan Singh, and Hoshiar Singh, who are resident of Alampur village and belong to Rajput caste got false certificates of SC caste. Acting on the complaint, Commission had sought report from the Deputy Commissioner Patiala in this regard. The complaint was found correct after the investigation. She said that the Deputy Commissioner Patiala has ordered Tehsildar Patiala to cancel the certificate made inappropriate in the name of above mentioned persons and directed the police to initiate legal action against them.
