Railway Minister Piyush Goyal says, train accidents across the country have come down to 100 per year in past four years as compared to 2006 per year between 2004 & 2009, informs Lok Sabha, there is no question of privatising Railway, PPP model needed to increase capacity and efficiency of the Railways.

In Lok Sabha Railway Minister Piyush Goyal replied to the Demand for grants for his ministry. He stressed on the need for increased investments to enhance capacity and efficiency via the Public Private Partnership mode.Piyush Goyal also apprised the House about the reduction in accidents over the last 5 years.
