NSCA welcomes the decision of the govt. to adopt UPSC guidelines for PPSC attempts – Kainth
Struggling youth needs employment opportunities and not cuts in attempts – NSCA
Chandigarh
Amidst protests against the recent decision of the state government to limit the number of attempts for PPSC examination to 4 for all categories, National Scheduled Castes Alliance today welcomed the decision of the Capt. Amrinder Singh led government to revert its decision and adopt the UPSC type guidelines for the number of the attempts for various categories.
Speaking to the media, Paramjit Singh Kainth, President of NSCA said, “we appreciate that the government realized its mistake sooner than later. The adoption of the UPSC pattern is a much better alternative to the decision which the govt. had made earlier.”
Kainth further said, “Such decisions which affect the lives of millions of youth should be taken with due caution and after lengthy deliberations with all the stakeholders involved in the process. At such times where the youth is struggling for employment, limiting chances to the coveted PPSC examination would have presented problems in front of the government which it could not have handled. The government should be careful regarding such sensitive issues.”
