PUNJAB CM UNDERLINES NEED FOR VALUES-LED EDUCATION ON TEACHERS’ DAY

Greeting teachers on the eve of Teachers’ Day, Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh on Wednesday exhorted them to follow a quality values-centric teaching philosophy to imbue children with the right set of values for their future growth.

In his message, the Chief Minister urged teachers to emulate the ideals of eminent educationist and former President of India late Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, on his birth anniversary the day is observed.

Describing teachers as nation builders, the Chief Minister called upon the teaching fraternity to transform the destiny of present and future generations and imbibe the qualities of hard work, discipline and leadership among students to enable them to become ideal citizens of the society.
