Suspense continues over Maharashtra CM
In Maharashtra, the stalemate over government formation continues even as the Bharatiya Janata Party on Tuesday said that it has “not received any proposal” from Shiv Sena on forming the next government in the state.
Maharashtra BJP President Chandrakant Patil insisted, however, that the new government of the ‘Maha-Yuti’ will be formed as soon as possible. Meanwhile, Maharashtra Chief Minsiter Devendra Fadnavis met with RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat last night.
Maharasthra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis called an emergency meeting of the party’s core committee on Tuesday at his residence to discuss the issue. Other leaders who attended the meeting were state party chief Chandrakant Patil, senior leader Sudhir Mangantiwar and Pankaja Munde.
After the meet Chandrakant Patil said that there was as yet no proposal from the Shiv Sena but the BJP was open to any proposal. He also said that the govt would soon be formed in the state.
The Shiv Sena has since given a new twist to the entire processs with various comments and postures. Party leader Kishore Tiwari has written to RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat and requested him to inntervene in the govtshiv sena continues to insist on cm post formation process.
The Shiv Sena’s Sanjay Raut has gone on to say that the next Chief Minister will be from the Sena. In another development, a team of Congress and NCP met governor Bhagat Singh Koshiyari.
