HOLDS INTERACTIVE SESSION WITH STUDENTS IN CITY

Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Nakodar Ms. Amrit Singh today envisioned that the Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao (BBBP) campaign would act as a catalyst to remove all the barriers in the overall development of the girl child in a big way.

Interacting with the students of Devi Sahai SD Model School Basti Nau here today an interactive session organized by the district administration to mark Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao campaign, the SDM said that this crusade would ensure that the girl child gets every opportunity to excel in life. She said that the movement has created immense awakening amongst the people, which would be instrumental in removing all the obstacles in the way of development of girl child. Ms. Amrit Singh said that the time has now come when the girls should come forward to achieve their desired goals in life.

The SDM advised the girls that they should have full confidence on their capabilities so as to empower themselves. She further said that the girl child should dream big and put their all might to realize their dreams in a befitting manner. Ms. Amrit Singh asked the girls to avoid any doubt on their abilities and will power, as it would act as a hindrance in their holistic development.

The SDM told the girls that there was nothing in the life which they could not achieve because the nature has blessed them with unbounded energy and resilience. She said that the girls should accept every challenge in life bravely and defeat all those forces who try to hamper their progress. Ms. Amrit Singh said that the girls should discourage all such forces by shining in life.

On the occasion District Program Officer Mr. Amarjeet Singh Bhullar, District Guidance Counselor Mr. Surjit Lal and Principal of the school Mr. Raj Kumar Sharma felicitated the chief guest.

It may be recalled that the district administration under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner Mr. Varinder Kumar Sharma has decided to observe this week by holding such interactive sessions of women officers with the girl students to motivate them for achieving new heights in life.
