BC Liberal nominates realtor Tripat Atwal from Burnaby Edmund. She will contest from this constituency against four-time NDP MLA and former Deputy Speaker Raj Chauhan.

Tripat Atwal, a native of Ludhiana, is the daughter of former Punjab Speaker and former Lok Sabha Deputy Speaker Charanjit Singh Atwal. She has been a resident of Canada since 2008 and has been working as a realtor in Surrey for the past few years. For some time now, she has been actively participating in the social and political spheres.
