Adopt latest technology for development: Guv

Governor Kaptan Singh Solanki today urged people of the state to take pledge to further making Haryana the most developed state equipped with modern techniques and technology. Solanki, who was speaking at the state level Haryana Divas function, which was celebrated with full enthusiasm at Haryana Raj Bhavan here today, said that the state had undertaken unprecedented development in every area. When formed in 1966 it was a desert state, but now it is among the developed states of the country, he said.
The function was inaugurated by Governor Kaptan Singh Solanki and Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar by lighting traditional lamp. The governor announced to give Rs seven lakh to artistes who performed at the function.
Others present on the occasion included Finance Minister Capt Abhimanyu, Transport Minister Krishan Lal Panwar, Information Public Relations and Languages Minister Kavita Jain, Lokayukta Justice NK Agarwal, Ambala MP Rattan Lal Kataria, state BJP president Subhash Barala, Chairman of the Haryana Tourism Corporation Jagdish Chopra, Chief Secretary DS Dhesi, Director General of Police BS Sandhu and Advocate General Baldev Raj Mahajan.
