CM’s outreach reflects concern for people: PDP
Srinagar
The ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) today said the efforts of the government to utilise its resources for holistic development of the state have started yielding results.
Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti was personally reaching out to grassroots to get feedback of people. She had visited Baramulla and Gurez in north Kashmir since Saturday and listened to people’s problems and redressed many issues.
Party general secretary Nizamuddin Bhat said Mehbooba’s personal interaction in far-flung areas, such as Karnah, Kargil, Gurez, Machi, Rajouri and Poonch, was a “manifestation of her sincere desire to keep herself posted with the immediate problems facing people and her intention to ensure appropriate redressal.”
“The administration is being made more responsive, accountable and active. People also appreciate her interest and concern as most of the pressing issues, which otherwise get ignored at the expense of the poor and needy, were resolved,” the party general secretary said in a statement.
