PAYS TRIBUTES TO SARDAR PATEL AND INDIRA GANDHI

Officers/ officials in the District Administration today took the oath in District Administrative Complex to preserve the unity and integrity of the country in a function on the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas. Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Mr. Jasbir Singh administered the oath to the officers/ officials in a simple and impressive function to mark the birth anniversary of the first Deputy Prime Minister of India Sardar Vallabhai Patel. In his address, the ADC recalled the immense contribution of the great national leader in unification of the country after the independence. He said that every Indian was indebted to the Iron Man of India for political integration of the country at a crucial hour.

The ADC and other officers/ officials also paid homage to the former Prime Minister of Indira Gandhi on her martyrdom day. He said that Mrs. Gandhi had sacrificed her life for the sake of preserving unity and integrity of the country. Mr. Jasbir Singh said that all of us should pledge to fight against terrorism and all other forces, which were trying to weaken our country.

On the occasion General Assistant to Deputy Commissioner, Jalandhar Dr. Baljinder Singh was also present.
