Chandigarh Transport Undertaking has issued an advisory for the general public to cope with the dense fog and low visibility

1. Avoid unnecessary travel

2. Park your vehicles in proper parking lots

3. Drive slowly, use blinker lights and reflectors to avoid untoward accidents

4. Use fog lamps and keep headlights on low beam

5. Don’t Use Cell Phone while Driving

6. Keep heater on to avoid condensation inside.

7. Watch for stalled or slow moving vehicles in front of you

8. Keep the car manufacture’s roadside assistance number with you in your Car

9. Reduce the ‘In Car’ distractions

10. Keep lights and windshield clean

11. Use the white marking and Right edge of the road for guidance

12. Be patient

13. Give Proper Signal while taking a turn

14. Avoid stopping/parking vehicle on the road

15. While parking on the road, always keep the blinkers on
