S.S.A. NAGAR, FEBRUARY 8: Senior Congress leader and party candidate from
Mohali constituency Balbir Singh Sidhu today appealed to the people of the
constituency to defeat today’s “Malik Bhago” Kulwant Singh in disguise of
“Bhai Lalo”. He said that Kulwant Singh had become a billionaire in a few
years with the looting of blood and sweat of the people, government
exchequer and panchayat lands.

Mr. Sidhu termed Mr. Kulwant Singh as an opportunist, selfish and
unprincipled person and said that he had nothing to do with the Aam Aadmi
Party and had nothing to do with the life of the common man. He only wants
to climb the steps of Punjab Vidhan Sabha using the name of Aam Aadmi
Party. He said that wise voters of Mohali constituency would not allow this
ploy of Kulwant Singh to succeed and would defeat him.

Accusing Kulwant Singh of becoming wealthy by constructing 20 storey flats
on panchayat land, Mr. Sidhu said that his company JLPL has illegally
occupied the panchayat land of village Papari adjacent to Mohali city and
built multi-storied flats and roads. The Papri Panchayat and the Rural
Development and Panchayat Department have also registered a case against
Kulwant Singh and his company in this regard. He said that the National
Green Tribunal had also ordered demolition of multi-storied flats
constructed in Sector 66-A due to fraud committed by Kulwant Singh’s
company and tampering with natural environment.

Mr. Sidhu termed the Aam Aadmi Party’s policy of alternative and pro-people
politics as sheer hypocrisy and said that the real volunteers of this party
have now given up it because of giving tickets to those who were rejected
by Congress, SAD and BJP. He said that the Delhi Health System being
propagated by Kejriwal with much fan and fare had collapsed last year when
the patients of Corona did not get any bed in any hospital in the National
Capital and at that time they were treated in hospitals of Punjab. He
reminded the industrialists of Punjab that in Delhi power was being
provided to industries at Rs. 11 per unit whereas in Punjab industries were
being provided power at Rs. 5 per unit.

The former health minister said that Arvind Kejriwal was the first Chief
Minister of India to implement the Anti Farmer Agriculture Laws enacted by
the Modi government. He said that Kejriwal had not protested a single day
against the agricultural laws whereas the Congress party had staged a
series of protests at Jantar Mantar in Delhi. Mr. Sidhu also said that even
at the time of Lakhimpur Khiri incident, Rahul Gandhi, Pryanka Gandhi and
all the Congress leaders of Punjab staged a dharna and got registered cases
against the accused but Kejriwal & Co. did not even speak.

Mr. Sidhu appealed to the people of the area that voting for Shiromani
Akali Dal or Aam Aadmi Party would be tantamount to hurting the souls of
700 farmers who were martyred during the Kissan Morcha.
