Baahubali writer Vijayendra Prasad pens a story for actor Vishnu Manchu
Actor Vishnu Manchu, best known for his work in films such as Dhee and Rowdy among others, is expected to work on a story written by Vijayendra Prasad, the writer of Baahubali and Bajrangi Bhaijaan. According to Deccan Chronicle, Prasad has confirmed writing a story for Vishnu. “Yes, I gave a story to Manchu Vishnu and I can’t reveal the details about what kind of story it is,” he said, without divulging too much information about the story.
Apparently, the story is set against the backdrop of Pakistan and is said to feature an Indian boy and a Pakistani girl. Prasad was paid a whopping Rs 2 crore for the story which he wrote at the behest of Vishnu’s father Mohan Babu, a well-known and senior Telugu actor. It’s still not known when Vishnu intends to make a film out of the story. With Bajrangi Bhaijaan, which also explored the relationship between India and Pakistan, one can expect this story to work, provided it is handled with sensitivity.
On the career front, Vishnu awaits the release of Telugu action drama Gayatri, which features his father in a dual role. The film is slated to hit the screens this Friday.
He also has a rib-tickling comedy Achari America Yathra coming up. This film was predominantly shot in the US and should release soon.
