Bhupinder Singh Hooda appears before CBI special court in Panchkula
Former Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda today appeared before a CBI Special Court in Panchkula, in Haryana in connection with Associated Journals Ltd plot allotment case and Manesar land scam case.
Enforcement Directorate had issued a provisional attachment order for the plot in Panchkula, Haryana which was illegally allotted to the Associated Journals Limited, by Bhupinder Singh Hooda.
The AJL is reportedly controlled by senior Congress leaders. It alleged that the plot was illegally re-allotted by Bhupinder Singh Hooda to AJL by “blatantly misusing his official position”.
According to the central probe agency, the value of the land was 64 crore 93 lakh rupees but was allotted by Hooda for only 59 lakh 39 thousand rupees.
The CBI charge sheet, filed before a Panchkula court on December 1 last year, named Congress leader Motilal Vora besides Hooda in connection with the alleged irregularities in the case.
